POSTERS
Here’s a sampling of the posters I’ve worked on over the past couple of years. You can also purchase many of these on my etsy site: flyrabbitpress.etsy.com or just send me an email at chris@flyrabbitpress.com!

Rosie Flores Show Poster 1
The first of my letterpress show posters. 4 color print using wood & metal type, and photopolymer plates for the hand drawn roses

Bill Murray Show Poster
A show poster for “The Bill Murray Experience Show Poster”, now named “Jessy Carolina and the Hot Mess”. This poster was a bit more complicated- 5 colors & 7 runs through the press, using metal type, linoleum & photopolymer plates.

Dave Alvin Show Poster
I actually did 2 versions of this. The first was to advertise the after party at Abilene, the second to promote the show itself (pictured). The after party posters are available for sale through Abilene exclusively. Both are a 5 color print (7 runs through the press), using metal & wood type, linoleum & photopolymer plates.

Eilen Jewell Show Poster
4 Color print using wood & metal type, linoleum cut for the boots, photo polymer & a piece of wood for the background. Four color letterpress poster from the series for Abilene Bar & Lounge. The band was absolutely thrilled with them!

Rosie Flores Show Poster 2
This time I took inspiration from her bright pink cowboy (or cowgirl?) boots that’s she’s sporting on her website. I printed 2 versions, one on chipboard, one on poster paper. I still can’t decide which I like best! I used wood & metal type/cuts, and some photo polymer for the Abilene logo. That giant type is a beautiful wood type that my friend loaned me for this project. Yummy!

Today Will Be A Good Day–4 colors
Forget those cheesy motivational posters full of rainbows and sunsets... is anyone motivated by that stuff?
This is a 2 color print on 80lb white paper, using hand set wood & metal type, and a cut from the advertising days of long ago. Signed limited edition.

Eilen Jewell Poster–Truck
Eilen contacted me about printing a poster to go along with the release of her latest album "Queen of the Minor Key". She liked the 2 design ideas I gave her so much, she decided to have me do two versions instead of one!
